Welcome to jbonanno.com, my portfolio and resume site. This site was developed to serve two purposes: first, it is an introduction to my career and my work; second, it is a testing ground for me to hone my skills and experiment with new technologies in front-end design and programming.

I have been designing and developing websites professionally for the past six years in roles varying from Image Specialist to Senior Designer. I am a professionally trained artist and designer with a Bachelor of Arts in Illustration and Graphic Design from Montclair State University. My professional background is entirely focused on front-end tools technologies using many of today's most popular graphics software and programming languages including the Adobe and Macromedia Creative Suites, HTML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS and JavaScript. My current goals are to participate in forward-looking projects that will allow me to continue to enhance my abilities and offer growth opportunities in creative or program management.

This site was designed as an exercise in web standards. Basically, web standards dictate that a site should look and act the same in all compliant browsers and fail gracefully in all others. Although a worthwhile goal, this is not always possible given clients' unique and often proprietary needs. As a result, you may find some features disabled under certain browser environments. Despite this limitation of the often wild world of the web, you should find your experience on this site virtually uninterrupted.
